APP PROJECT
supportspace® is a multi-platform app that connects Personal Care Budget recipients with support workers and the Social Care agency that administers payment. An empowering tool for disabled people, and a time and money saving innovation for statutory authorities, supportspace® was one of 10 finalists for the Inclusive Technology Prize 2015.
supportspace ® replaces brokerage services, saves admin time and lowers the cost of Direct Payment and Personal Budget programmes and works with any tablet, smartphone or web browser.
Having been showcased to NHS organisations in summer 2015, supportspace ® was chosen for Barking & Dagenham’s new Care City Healthy Ageing Innovation Centre NHS Test Beds.
NHS Personal Budget support trials are underway as are field trials with local authorities and disability charities. Engaging with service users, support workers and admin staff has helped create a 12-month development roadmap.
Having completed a demo version of supportspace® in Polish, supportspace® is close to appointing their first overseas reseller and is also in discussion with potential partners in Dubai and Abu Dhabi and has had talks with Clalit, the largest healthcare provider in Israel.
