70% of clinicians use Google to search at least once a day to find information for clinical decision-making. However, 50% of these searches are abandoned at the point of care due to resource fragmentation and information silos. Without access to the right information at the right time, clinicians may not be able to provide best-practice care to patients. Non-adoption of best practice and unwarranted variation in care is estimated to cost the NHS £5B annually, driven by avoidable hospitalisations and poorer patient outcomes.
